The Department of Scandinavian will be hiring at the Lecturer rank for Reading & Composition courses, Modern Icelandic and Old Norse language teaching, and/or elective subject courses for both Fall Semester 2015 and Spring Semester 2016. Teachers with R&C training, teaching skills in modern Icelandic and Old Norse, and/or competencies in elective topics in Scandinavian cultural history and literary studies are especially encouraged to apply.Those interested in being considered will apply to be added to a hiring pool of potential instructors, from which the final assignments will be made. The application period for the Lecturer pools begins immediately and closes at the deadline of April 2, 2015. Shortly thereafter, the hiring decisions will be made for the coming academic year.
One pool will be established for R&C instructors, and a separate hiring pool for language and subject electives. Applicants may apply to both, if qualified. For more information about each of the application pools, see:
