The Department of Scandinavian and the Nordic Center proudly present a talk by:

Thomas Götselius

Thomas Goetselius is professor of comparative literature at Stockholm University. He has written extensively on literature and media history, with the book The Medium of the Soul. Writing and Subjectivity in Northern Europe around 1500 (in Swedish, 2010) as his major work. In this study, he explored the relationship between the printing press and Protestantism. His interest in religious aspects of literary history is also reflected in his other main research area, which is Emanuel Swedenborg. He has recurrently published articles on Swedenborg, and is working on a book-length study on drömboken to be published in 2025. It’s working title is Seeing in the Night.
