Polina Tsikoreva graduated from the Norwegian department of the Philological Faculty, St Petersburg State University, Russia in 2007. Her scientific interests lie in the field of semantics of modern Norwegian language. In 2015 she finished the PhD dissertation “The semantics of size in Norwegian”.
Polina has been teaching Norwegian for more than 15 years, first to Russian students at St Petersburg University (undergraduate courses) and at the private language centers, and later as a private tutor. Her area of expertise lies in preparing the students for language proficiency tests, such as Bergenstesten. Recently she has been specializing in distant learning via Zoom and Skype. Polina has a vast experience in interpreting and written translation from modern Scandinavian languages into Russian and English.
In her teaching Polina focuses on enabling the students to communicate in Norwegian and encourages their interest in current social and cultural situation in Norway.
