Congratulations to Sherilyn Hellberg for winning the American Scandinavian Foundation’s Leif and Inger Sjöberg Award for her translation of Danish author Caspar Eric’s work.
Troy W. Smith, graduate student in the Department of Scandinavian, will be presenting a talk at the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art, Atlanta on November 11. “Trampled to death by geese”: Kierkegaard Caricatured in The Corsair.
Troy’s lecture will be part of a series of lectures accompanying the exhibition “The Sorrow of Too Many Joys: Satire in 19th Century France,” on view September 5 – December 6, 2015 at the OUMA.
