SASS 2013

103rd Annual Meeting of the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study

May 2-4, 2013 in San Francisco

The Scandinavian Department at the University of California, Berkeley, welcomes the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study to San Francisco for its 103rd annual meeting to be held from 2-4 May in the San Francisco Hilton/Financial District. We anticipate a lively exchange of ideas, with thematic streams (see link, below), diverse paper formats, a discussion on the state of the profession, and a spotlight focus on contemporary literature of the Nordic countries. This year we have negotiated with the hotel so that conference registrants can receive the conference hotel rate (significantly below San Francisco market prices) for three days prior to and after the conference (pending availability), so that participants can enjoy fully the attractions of the area (see Outings link, below). Please note that you should reserve your room as soon as possible to be able to take advantage of this excellent rate. The hotel will not accept reservations for the conference rate after April 9th.
