“International Response to Humanitarian Emergencies: Spotlight on Hunger and HIV”

Alli Mikkulainen is a Finnish public health nurse with a Master in Public Health (MPH) from University of York, UK. She has several years of clinical experience from maternal and child health clinics in Finland, and previously she has worked with WHO and UNICEF on maternal and child health. Most recently, she worked as an HIV & nutrition consultant at the UN World Food Programme, which is one of the 11 cosponsoring organizations of Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the world’s largest humanitarian organization fighting hunger. In addition to having worked in several countries in Europe, Alli has international experience from e.g. Uganda, where she worked in an HIV research institute.
